Deleting a Node
Ensure the node you delete is not specified in any backup definition. This is especially important for scheduled backups because absence of a node specified in a backup definition causes the backup to fail.
Ensure the node you delete is not a media changer (media changer device) controller node or a node that is a device server.
To delete an existing node definition:
- Open the Configure Enterprise window by selecting the Configure tab on the Function Tab bar, then clicking Enterprise.
- Do one of the following:
-
Right-click the node name or icon to display a context menu. Then select Delete. The selection check box indicates the selected node, and a dialog box prompts you to confirm the deletion.
-
In the resource pane, select the node to delete and do one of the following:
- From the menu bar, select Enterprise > Delete Node.
- On the task panel, click Delete Node.
Tip.If you select Enterprise > Delete Node from the menu bar or click the Delete Node button without a node selected, an alert dialog asking you to select a node appears.
A dialog box prompts you to confirm the deletion.
- Click Yes on the dialog box. The node disappears from the resource pane.
