Permissions for Windows

  • Local System Account is required for basic operations and is configured by default.
  • The following permissions are generally applicable:
    • For DPX Block Level Protection, Local System Account.
    • For cmagent, Domain Administrator account that has unrestricted access to all hardware, devices, and full administrative rights to all installed applications. See Managing the CMAgent Service.
  • Local firewall might interfere with backup and restore operations. If so, they need to be either disabled or modified with exceptions.
