Prerequisite for installing Catalogic DPX Backup Agent for Microsoft Hyper-V

Ensure that the Microsoft Hyper-V environment that you want to protect meets the following items before installing the Catalogic DPX Backup Agent for Microsoft Hyper-V on the Microsoft Hyper-V host:

• The Microsoft Hyper-V host must be part of the Microsoft Active Directory domain.
• Catalogic DPX Backup Agent for Microsoft Hyper-V can only be installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or 2019 with the Hyper-V Role.
• Microsoft Windows Server File Classification Infrastructure (FCI) is not supported.
• Virtual Hard Disks v2 (VHDX) shared disks are not available for backup; only non-shared disks can be protected by Catalogic DPX backup jobs.
• You must run Catalogic DPX Backup Agent for Microsoft Hyper-V as an administrator of Microsoft Windows.
