Adding SharePoint Application Protection Services to an Existing Enterprise

To add SharePoint application protection services to an existing Enterprise configuration, make sure to perform the following tasks:

• Manually enable the SharePoint VSS writer using the stsadm command in SharePoint. For more information about this command, see Enabling Microsoft SharePoint Services VSS Writer on SharePoint Control Nodes.
• Update the configuration of the SharePoint control node from the management console. To update the configuration of that node, see Updating SharePoint Control Node Configurations.
