Backup Considerations

• When an Exchange application disk is selected for backup, volumes hosting Exchange databases and logs will be backed up in their entirety.
• Exchange databases included in the backup job must be mounted before the backup begins.
• For a backup job that has the Exchange application or the whole node selected for backup, new additional databases added after the backup job was defined will be automatically protected.
• Backup verification is supported. Note that a Throttle option is available for Exchange backup verification. For information about verification jobs for Exchange see Verifying Microsoft Exchange Server Backups.
