Prerequisites for Catalogic DPX Block Data Protection with Clusters

Catalogic DPX supports Block backups and restores of clusters for supported Windows operating systems in accordance with the following considerations:

  • SnapVault backups and restores for clusters must be executed through the Catalogic DPX Block Data Protection agent.
  • You can protect data of the following applications on clusters by using Catalogic DPX:
    • Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008
  • Backup and restore of Oracle on clusters is not supported with the Catalogic DPX Block Data Protection.
  • Cluster failover during Block backups and restores is not supported.
