Catalogic Backup Appliance
Overview
Catalogic Backup Appliance is an integrated backup solution that installs DPX (backup software) and vStor (storage backend) on a single host — physical or virtual. The appliance is designed for fast deployment and minimal configuration. During installation, the system automatically prepares and connects all required components, so the environment is ready to use immediately after setup.
Additionally, the package comes with Catalogic GuardMode Agent – software for early detection of ransomware or data-related anomalies before you back up your data.
Installation Items
Depending on your selection during the installation process, your installation will include:
- DPX + vStor (recommended for most use cases)
- DPX only
Installation Requirements
The software comes as a Catalogic Backup Appliance .ISO file. Installation requires that Secure Boot is disabled.
