Troubleshooting Unsuccessful Multi-VM Restore Cleanup
During cleanup, certain conditions may prevent normal VM power-off or removal. Such cases will be reported under the Couldn’t remove column in the Restore Environment Cleanup dialog.

If the issue cannot be resolved using the Retry button, it might be due to an error reported by the vCenter. Follow the procedure below to resolve the issue.

Go to your vCenter and identify virtual machines reporting an error. They are distinguished by the exclamation mark.\

Click the virtual machine name to view the details. In this case, volumes have been manually removed while the VMs were running.\

Read the information in the infobox at the bottom of the screen. Click Answer Question…. The Answer Question dialog will appear.\

Click Answer to confirm the OK selection. Note that you can do it for all virtual machines facing the same issue at once, by clicking Select other virtual machines.

Go back to the DPX Master Server and retry cleanup. The result should be successful, meaning no items reported in the Couldn’t remove column.

Note that there will be some datastores or volumes reported as Not found.
